Circuit Designer is now available to quantum algorithm designers
We are excited to announce that PsiQuantum is releasing Circuit Designer (CD) as a stand-alone, open-access web application. Circuit Designer is the fastest and easiest way to create and share quantum circuit diagrams commonly found in academic research. From prototyping new quantum algorithms to polishing a diagram for your next paper, Circuit Designer is a tool built to help push quantum algorithm development forward.
Circuit Designer is designed for researchers
Researchers value their time. Circuit Designer transforms the most tedious part of quantum computing research into an efficient and exploratory process. Instead of manually placing, alighting, and re-placing individual wires and gates in a vector graphics program or editing scores of lines of a LaTeX code to make minor changes, Circuit Designer lets you place, adjust, and move any quantum circuit diagram element with a fun and intuitive interface. Circuit Designer is:
Intuitive: Sketch circuits by simply dragging and dropping gates, registers, and other components onto your canvas.
Powerful: Use hotkeys to further expedite your workflow.
Modular: Organize gates into collapsible routines for better clarity and modularity. Double click to telescope in and out of these routines.
Scalable: Add hundreds of gates to your circuits without performance issues or slowdown.
Familiar: Label circuit elements using familiar LaTeX notation for consistent and professional documentation.
Shareable: Send circuit diagram directly to your collaborators in multiple formats, including links, PNGs, or SVGs.
Circuit Designer is built for collaboration
Circuit makes it easy to collaborate and share ideas with your colleagues. The collapsible nature of each circuit diagram makes it easier to share how a quantum circuit is constructed. A single diagram communicates both the details, and the high-level structure of any quantum routine. You can also include a link within your paper to let readers interact with your diagram while reading along. Ultimately, we believe this will make it easier for the wider community to understand and reproduce quantum algorithms.
Open tools accelerate discovery
Ultimately, scientific progress depends on removing barriers. Circuit designer was originally created for fault-tolerant quantum computing (FTQC) experts within PsiQuantum, but we believe that it can have broader utility. Circuit Designer can help expert researchers create new ideas and publish papers, companies learn the cutting edge, and students learn the fundamentals. The open-access Circuit Designer is just the start of our journey for releasing expert tools to the community and we have more to share soon.
